Niranam: Jacobite Church’s Metropolitan of Niranam, Geevarghese Mor Coorilose, congratulated the government on removing the cross near Suryanelli as part of eviction in Munnar.
In his Facebook post, Mor Coorilose said that, historically, the Bible and the Cross have been used several times for colonisation and land-grabbing. The cross at Munnar is a recent example of this tendency, and Jesus Christ himself would have been the most happiest when it was removed.
Mor Coorilose also congratulated the Munnar mission and said that, finally, we have a revenue minister.
