Thiruvananthapuram: The former state police chief Lokanath Behera’s order notifying all police stations to use a particular paint from a particular company became controversial after the new police chief T.P Senkumar ordered an investigation into it.
Behera released the order on Apr 28 and several police stations, including the Ernakulam Central Station, had already implemented it.
Behera explained that the paint company’s name was mentioned in the order only to identify a particular paint colour and that it was not mandatory to use the paint of that company.
