New Delhi: The Income Tax Department notified that a fine will be yielded for cash transactions equal to or more than Rs.2 lakh. An amount equal to the exchanged amount will be yielded as fine from the person who receives the cash.
Last April, the Centre had banned cash transactions of more than Rs.2 lakh but this restriction is not applicable to the government, bank, post office savings bank and co-operative banks.
