Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ has garnered over Rs.1100 crores worldwide and has got a huge fan following including Chinese President Xi Jinping. ‘Dangal’ was released in China on May 5 and continues to run in 7000 theatre screens there.
Speaking at the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), Jinping told Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi that ‘Dangal’ is doing well in China and he himself watched it, said Indian Foreign Secretary S.Jaishankar.
Aamir Khan has become very popular in China following the massive reception of his films such as ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘PK’ got in China. Recently Khan had said, "I always believe that language is not a barrier when it comes to creative endeavours and its success in China has proved that."
