
New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh Shia Central Waqf Board filed an affidavit in Supreme Court in Ayodhya case stating that a mosque can be built in a Muslim dominated area at a reasonable distance from 'Rama Janma Bhoomi’ the birth place of Lord Rama. This is for the first time a major decision has been taken by Shia Waqf board to relocate the mosque in order to amicably settle the dispute.
The board also informed the apex court that Sunnis doesn’t have any claim over Babri Masjid since it was a Shia property and Shias are entitled to hold all negotiations according to the treaty. The Supreme Court will start the crucial hearing on the case on August 11.
