Alappuzha: In a brazen attack on the freedom of press in the state, a group of unidentified assailants vandalized the office of Asianet news network in Alappuzha on Thursday early morning.
As per the reports, a car which was parked outside the channel office were also destroyed. Asianet news TV reporter TV Prasad was present at the office during the incident.
Meanwhile, the police have initiated a probe into the issue. CPM state Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishan condemned the incident and also expressed solidarity for the freedom of press.
