'Oppam', the 2016 blockbuster Malayalam movie by the super hit duo Priyadarshan and Mohanlal is all set to be remade in Kannada. As per the reports, actor Siva Rajkumar will essay the role of Mohanlal in the movie.
Released in 2016, the movie is a crime thriller and is based on a story by Govind Vijayan. In the movie written and directed by Priyadarshan, Mohanlal plays a visually impaired liftman who is accused of a murder.
The makers plan to roll the movie on floors from October and interestingly will have a new talent at the helm. Ram Gopal Varma's assistant GVR Vasu will be making his directional debut with the Kannada remake.
