Kochi: Prominent lawyer CP Udayabhanu who was arrested in connection with Rajeev murder case on Thursday said that he is innocent in the case.
Udayabhanu, who is the seventh accused in the case was arrested from his brother's house in Thrippunithara on Wednesday. During the interrogation, he revealed that the murder was an 'accident' by the first three accused in the case.
He also added that he only gave legal advice to Johny, one of the accused in the case. The arrest came after the Kerala High Court on Tuesday rejected his anticipatory bail plea by observing that 'none was above the law'.
