Thiruvananthapuram: Independent LDF MP Joyce George on Saturday lost the ownership of the 20 acre land in Kottakamboor in Idukki, following the cancellation of the title deed of the land by the Idukki administration.
Devikulam Sub collector VR Premkumar cancelled the title deed of 20 acres of land held by Joyce George and family. Joyce George and his wife jointly held eight acres of land in Kottakamboor.
The Idukki district collector had earlier received complaints that Joyce George's father had illegally registered the land of six Tamilians in the name of his relatives. The Devikulam police had taken case against Joyce George and his family members for land fraud in January 2015.
