Thiruvanathapuram: An all party meeting convened by the government on last day decided to set up a special fund for the victims of Cyclone Ockhi.
A weekly assistance of Rs 2000 would be provided to the families of fishermen who were unable to sail in sea because of the inclement weather.
The meeting came to a consensus on seeking a special assistance package from the center to take up relief and rehabilitation schemes.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami expressed his gratitude towards the measures taken for sending back the Tamil fishermen rescued from the Kerala coast.
