New Delhi: In a latest addition to the Aadhaar stories, people might soon have to carry a valid age proof like voters ID card or Aadhaar to buy alcohol at Delhi's liquor vends and pubs.
As per the new recommendation of the NGO, Community Against Drunken Driving (CADD), Aadhaar card was made mandatory for buying liquor at the national capital.
In Delhi, it is illegal to sell liquor to anyone below 25 years of age. But a CADD survey showed that people in the age group of 18 to 25 has easy access to alcohol at liquor vends, bars and pubs.
