
Kochi: The controversy over the land scam rocking the Ernakulam-Angamaly archdiocese took a fresh turn with the Presbyterian council sending a missive to the synod of the Bishops of the Syro-Malabar church, to resolve the issue at the earliest.
Stating the controversy has shaken the conscience of the Syro-Malabar Church, Fr Kuriakose Mundadan, secretary, Presbyterian council said that the whole church and society are awaiting a creative intervention of the synod in the issue.
Earlier, a council meeting was postponed due to protest of the members. The council was suppose to discuss the investigate report on the land scam.
