Kochi: Upcoming Malayalam movie 'Aami' has been in the news for more reasons than one and film enthusiasts are waiting to check out how the Manju Warrier starrer will fare at the box office. Now a petition has been file in High Court opposing the release of the movie.
Edapally native KP Ramachandran filed the petition by pointing that the movie excludes many incidents from the real life of Madhavikutty and the writers hand distorted many facts for the movie.
The petitioner also asked the court to inspect the screenplay and blue print of the movie and the deletion of controversial scenes, if any. Directed by Kamal, 'Aami' is based on the real life of writer and poet Madhavikutty aka Kamala Surraya.
