Cape Town: Cricket Australia is satisfied that Australia coach Darren Lehmann was not part of last weekend's ball tampering scandal at New-lands.
Following an investigation, Australian captain Steve Smith and vice-captain David Warner were banned for one year, while opening batsman Cameron Bancroft, the man caught on the television rubbing the ball with the sandpaper was banned for nine months.
The investigation, headed by CA's head of integrity Iain Roy, concluded that Lehmaan had no knowledge of the ball tampering incident. It was found that through the walkie talkie Darren sent a message to say 'What in hell is going on' to the player.
