Kolkata: Certain areas of West Bengal were under tense since the Ram Navmi celebrations as the processions were taken out, mostly by BJP workers, caused communal violence in Asanol and Raniganj. At least four people were killed in various incidents. Meanwhile, a video of an elderly blind Muslim couple being forced to chant Jai Shri Ram has gone viral in social media platforms.
The video shows that the couple desperately pleading that they were blind and could not walk properly. But their pleas have little impact on the Hindutva goons, who also makes fun on their disability.
One is heard saying, ‘So what you can't see. You don't have to use your eyes to chant Jai Shri Ram, use your mouth’. Then the people also threaten to beat them up if they refused to chant Jai Shri Ram and Jai Maa Tara.
