New Campu: Former Barcelona player Xavi has slammed the La Liga giants for 'falling asleep' amid Real Madrid's European dominance. Xavi, who won four Championship league titles during his time with Barca thinks his former club have become dormant.
'Madrid have a winning gene and Barca have fallen asleep. They have been dormant for years and that takes its toll', he added.
Barca won titles, but others are winning the Champions League. Xavi also pointed to Madrid's luck in the Champions League, the latest of which was Mohammad Salah's injury and Loris Karius's errors in final.
