Kochi: The police and drug enforcers are on the stakeout in Kochi and suburbs with flats and houses becoming destination for weekend rave parties.
In Kakkandu, the police had recently busted a gang of peddlers with drugs worth one lakh rupees. Rave parties, one of the favourites of youths during Christmas and New year celebration are now targeting IT professionals.
The organisers of rave parties shifted to such places after cops stepped up vigil in usual destinations, including Goa, Wagamon and Bengaluru.
The cops are also penetrating drug cartels which have taken to social media platforms like Facebook and Whatsapp to supply banned drug for the rave parties.
