Kochi: Former Ernakulam Rural SP AV George is likely to be relieved from the sensational Varappuzha custodial death case. As per the reports, Direction General of Prosecution Manjeri Sreedharan Nair advised the SIT that the official should not be named as accused in the case.
The Director General of Prosecution office handed over the legal advise to the SIT. 'There is no solids evidence against AV George proving him as an accused', says the legal advice.
The special investigation team had recommended action against AV George in its report submitted to the government.
