A harrowing image of a little boy sobbing next to the lifeless body of his father shocked many on social media last day. Anil 37, was a sewer cleaner, based in Delhi who fell to his death on a 6 m-deep sewer on last day. The father of three was killed in the accident just six days after his four month-old child died from pneumonia.

The journalist’s tweet also drew the attention of Uday foundation – a non-governmental organisation. The NGO then stepped in to raise funds with the help of Ketto - a crowdfunding platform. His tweet lead to a fundraiser for the family, which has now raised Rs three million for his family.
