
Kothamangalam : The Kothamangalam Marthoma Church on Thursday a witnessed dramatic turn of events after the dispute between Orthodox and Jacobite faction turned violent.
The devotees of Jacobite faction protested and blocked Fr Thomas Paul Ramban, who reached the church to administer the prayer, following the court order.
The devotees turned violent after the police arrived the place and to implement the court order. They declared that they would not allow the police and Orthodox factions to enter the church. Following the protest, the police arrested over 20 protesters, including women, from the church premises.
