New Delhi : Election commissioner Ashok Lavasa has reportedly rescued himself from all meeting on MCC issues. As per the reports of the Hindustan Times, Lavasa will only attend the further meeting only after the EC starts including dissent notes and minority decision in its orders
The “full commission” consists of chief election commissioner Sunil Arora, Lavasa and election commissioner Sushil Chandra.
During the 2019 Lok Sabha election, PM Modi has been cleared of violating the MCC as many as six times. The reports stated that Mr Lavasa had disagreed with these decision,s but his dissent had no been officially recorded.
