
Thiruvananthapuram : As the rain subsides, the state began to return to normalcy with water receding in many low-lying areas.
There was no red alert warning in any of the 14 districts as the intensity of rains decreased. The IMD has predicted that rain will weaken after Friday.
Meanwhile, the rescue operations continues at Kavalappara and Puthumala in Wayanad, after a series of landslides wiped out two villages with more than 30 people buried alive.
Though people have started shifting to their homes in many places, there are 1,75,373 still sheltered in 1,057 relief camps across the state.
