Kochi : In a major set to to Cardinal Mar George Alencherry, the Thrikkakara session court has ordered that three people including Cardinal Alecherry, the accused in the must face trial in the sensational Syro-Malabar land case.
The court dismissed the plea to quash the investigation orders and Cardinal Mar George Alencherry, Former Finance Manager Fr Joshi Puthuva, mediator Saju Varghese Kunnel have to face the trial in the case.
The court had earlier ordered the police to file an FIR and start an investigation into the Land scam case. Later Cardinal and the rest filed a plea in the court urging to quash the pronouncement.
However, the crucial court order came in time of Syro-Malabar Synad meeting, which can be considered as a huge set for Cardinal Alencherry.
