ന്യൂഡല്ഹി : രാഷ്ട്രീയക്കാരനും അഭിഭാഷകനും ഒക്കെയായിരുന്നുവെങ്കിലും ക്രിക്കറ്റുമായി ഏറെ ബന്ധം പുലര്ത്തിയിരുന്ന വ്യക്തി കൂടെയാണ് അന്തരിച്ച ബിജെപി നേതാവ് അരുണ് ജെയ്റ്റിലി. അതിന്റെ ഉദാഹരണമാണ് സെവാഗിന്റെ വിവാഹത്തിന് സ്വന്തം ഔദ്യോഗിക വസതി വിട്ട്കൊടുക്കാന് അദ്ദേഹം തയ്യാറായത്.
2004 ല് ആയിരുന്നു സെവാഗിന്റെ വിവാഹം. കല്യാണത്തിനായി അദ്ദേഹം തന്നെ മുന് കൈ എടുത്ത് വീടിന് മോടിപിടിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. എന്നാല് പ്രചരണ പരിപാടിയായതിനാല് ജെയ്റ്റലിക്ക് വിവാഹത്തിന് പങ്കെടുക്കാന് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. ഡല്ഹി ക്രിക്കറ്റ് അസോസിയേഷന് അധ്യക്ഷനായിരുന്നു ജെയ്റ്റലി.
കളിക്കാരോട് വ്യക്തിപരമായ ബന്ധം പുലര്ത്തിയിരുന്ന ആളാണ് ജെയ്റ്റലി. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നിര്യാണത്തില് അനുശേിച്ച സെവാഗ് അടക്കം നിരവധി ക്രിക്കറ്റ കളിക്കാര് രംഗത്ത് എത്തിയിരുന്നു.
