Thiruvananathapuram : The Investigation team probing into the death of a Journalist by a car driven by Sriram Venkitaraman IAS is suspecting that the Medical College Hospital authorities helped Sriram to avoid being transferred to jail.
In a statement given by the Doctors of the private hospital who treated the IAS officers minutes after the incident, they made it clear that Sriram didn't suffered any major injuries.
After the reports of his 'privileged treatment' emerged online, he was discharged from the hospital. Later, the police presented him before the Magistrate and was ordered to move him to the jail.
But upon the arrival, the Jail Superintendent directed the official to admit Sriram to the Medical College Hospital. However, since Sriram was an alumnus of the Medical College Hospital and was treated by his former colleagues and teachers also strengthened the foul play in the case.
The investigation is expected to file the charge sheet in two weeks
