Vattiyoorkavu : LDF Candidate and Thiruvananthapuram mayor VK Prasanth bagged a landslide victory in Vattiyoorkavu in the by poll elections.
Prasanth won the prestigious constituency against UDF candidates K Mohan Kumar and NDA candidate S Suresh by 14438 votes.

Fondly called as 'Mayor Bro', Prasanth maintained his lead from the starting itself. Talking to the media, Prasanth called it as an expected victory and said that the party has always stood with the people.
His works as the Mayor of the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, and his works during the deluge this year had won him praise from various corners of Kerala.
Expressing his gratitude, Prasanth took his Face book post to express his gratitude to each and every one of the voters of Vattiyoorkavu and promised to stand with them for the future of Vattiyoorkavu.
