Kozhikode : CPM Kozhikode District Secretary P Mohanan has made it clear that his statement was taken out context. He recently raked up a fresh controversy by saying that Islamic extremist organisations were supporting Maoists in the state.
Asserting that he didn't meant the Muslim majority in the state. Mr Mohanan pointed that he only meant groups like Popular Front and LDF party.
However, he maintained his stand regarding the previous statement that Islamic extremist organisations were supporting Maoists in the state. The remarks came in the backdrop of the arrest of two CPM workers under the UAPA for alleged Maoist links.
