
Swiggy has compiled and analysed statistics for the past few months in the cities where the app has a presence to reveal how exactly India has been ordering and eating during lockdown.
According to the reports, Swiggy delivered 40 million orders across food, groceries, medicines and other household items during India's lockdowns, the online food delivery platform said in its StatEATistics report: The Quarantine Edition.
Chicken biriyani took the top spot for overall orders, with 5,54,512 orders. This was followed by butter naan at 3,35,185 and masala dosa at 3,31,423.
In desserts, Indian diners stuck to Choco Lava Cake, 1,29,000 orders of which were placed. The food aggregator also serviced 1,20,000 cake orderes during the period.
