In a bizarre incident, a lawyer in Uttar Pradesh’s Pratapgarh has filed a civil suit against former US President Barack Obama’s latest book ‘The Promised Land’ in which he has mentioned Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Manmohan Singh.
The lawyer also demanded an FIR be lodged as the book “insults” the leaders and hurts the sentiments of their followers.
About Rahul Gandhi, Obama has written, “Rahul Gandhi has a nervous, unformed quality about him, as if he were a student who'd done the coursework and was eager to impress the teacher but deep down lacked either the aptitude or the passion to master the subject.”
