Congress state working president and legislator P T Thomas, 70, passed away at Christian Medical College in Vellore on Thursday morning.
Thomas had been indisposed for the last few weeks. He was representing Thrikkakkara constituency in the state assembly. He also represented Thodupuzha constituency twice. He is also a former Member of Parliament who represented the Idukki Lok Sabha constituency.
CM Pinarayi Vijayan condoled his death. The Chief Minister said that PT Thomas was a person who always presented issues and made a clear political stand inside and outside the assembly.
