The Supreme Court has rejected the state government's plea against BDJS President Thushar Vellappally in a case connected with the appointment in Guruvayoor devaswom board.
The allegation was that the accused had committed criminal misconduct as defined in the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
In a plea, the state government had challenged the High Court order of acquitting Mr Thushar in the case. However the SC stood by the HC pronouncement and quashed the plea.
