
Four people were arrested following the death of a Muslim youth who was allegedly beaten to death by neighbours for participating in BJP’s election campaign and later celebrating it in the Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh, news agency PTI reported.
SHO D K Singh of Ramkola Police Station has been removed from his post and sent to police lines, a police official told PTI.
As per news agency ANI, four accused have been arrested in the case by the police and further investigation is still on.
"4 accused arrested; family is naming another accused, will probe further. Protection to be given to kin. PS in charge removed," DIG Ravinder Kumar Gaud told ANI.
