New Delhi: The Reserve Bank of India on last day clarified that the new Rs 500 note with printing errors are valid and can be used. Apparently, in a rush to print, an unspecified number of new 500 notes have visible errors.
Some of the reports showed the mistakes in the notes including a visible shadow in Mahatma Gandhi's face and a position change of the Ashoka's pillars. However, the RBI also said that if people find it difficult to transact these notes, they can exchange the notes.
