
Incessant rains have triggered floods and landslides in Assam. Around 57,000 people have been affected by the current spell of flood, while three have been killed in the northeastern state.
All three deaths have been reported from Cachar district. Cachar, Dhemaji, Hojai, Karbi Anglong West, Kamrup (M), Nagaon and Nalbari have been affected by floods.
As per the Assam State Disaster
Management Authority (ASDMA), 222 villages have been affected by the incessant rainfall.
