A trial court in Kerala on Monday pronounced its long-awaited verdict in the dowry death case of Vismaya V Nair at her in-laws' due to dowry harassment and domestic violence in June 2021.
During the course of the trial, a total of 42 witnesses, 108 documents and several call records were examined by the court. A 507-page charge sheet was also submitted by the police.
Kollam Additional Sessions Judge Sujith KN found Vismaya's husband Kiran Kumar, who is the sole accused in the case, guilty of the crime.
The hearing on sentencing will take place tomorrow.
