UDF candidate Uma Thomas took a comfortable lead with over 4000 in the first round of counting of the Thrikkakara by election.
She bagged votes duble than what PT Thomas garnered last year.
The counting of votes began at 8 am on Friday. The final results are expected by 11 am.
