
Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government has sounded a weather alert following the meteorological department’s warning that the cyclone Nada formed in the Bay of Bengal is fast approaching the state’s coast. It is predicted that Chennai will experience strong winds and rains starting this evening.
The Met department has also issued a warning to the fishermen asking them not to venture into the seas these days. Currently the cyclone is located 770 km east of Puducherry and 490 km south-east of Trincomalee in Sri Lanka.
