Hyderabad: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) Special Court on Tuesday convicted Indian Mujahideen (IM) member Yasin Bhatkal and four others in the Hyderabad twin blast case of 2013.
The other convicts included IM members Asadullah Akthar, Tahseen Akthar, Pakistani citizens Zia Ur Rahman and Ajaz Shaikh. The court delivered the verdict based on 158 witnesses, 201 evidences and 500 other documents.
The blasts in a tea shop and a cinema theatre in the Dilsukhnagar area of Hyderabad on the evening of Feb 21 had killed 19 people and injured more than 130. Six months after the blast, Yasin was caught from Bihar border.
