New Delhi: For the first time, National Security Guard (NSG) commandoes will take part in the Republic Day parade along with members of the military forces.
The decision in this regard was taken at a meeting of the Union Home and Defence ministries. A contingent of 60 NSG commandoes will march down the Rajpath in full armed gear on the coming January 26.
Till now, the only commandoes to march during the Republic Day parade were the Army’s Special Forces.
