Kochi: Protesting the cheap online taxis ferrying in Ernakulam, the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) demanded that these must be regulated through legislation.
The BMS alleged that the online taxis do not follow the passenger fare rates set by the state government and that the auto-rickshaw drivers are badly affected by this.
It also said that it will organize a march of auto-rickshaw drivers to the Collectorate on January 6 seeking action against the online taxis.
