Tamil film Kaththi Sandai’s director Suraj has landed in trouble for passing lewd comments against actresses in the film industry. Both Nayanthara and Kaththi Sandai heroine Tamannaah have lashed out against the director demanding an apology from him.
In a recent interview, Suraj was asked how he managed to makeTamannaah so glamourous in his recently released film. He replied that the audience is low-class and pays money to watch the hero fight and the heroine look glamorous. He also said he does not care if his heroine is unhappy or uncomfortable in short clothes; after all, it is for nothing that the actresses are paid in lakhs and crores.
Nayanthara questioned the cheap comment from Suraj and asked if he equated actresses to strippers. Meanwhile, Tamannah said it was ironic that she had to leave the screening of the film Dangal midway, which talks about women empowerment, to tackle this issue. She also spoke against objectifying women and asked Suraj to apologize to all the women in the industry.
