Thiruvananthapuram: The Transport Commissioner declared that older vehicles plying in Kerala must pay the green tax announced in the previous budget from January 1.
The tax applies to transport vehicles older than 10 years and non-transport vehicles older than 15 years. In the case of the former, the tax ranges between Rs.200-400 per year and in the case of the latter, Rs.400 per year.
The tax applies only to vehicles with four wheels or more and is also applicable to vehicles from other states plying on Kerala roads.
