
Mumbai: Natarajan Chandrasekharan has been appointed the new Chairman of Tata Sons. Currently the CEO and MD of Tata Consultancy Services, Chandrasekharan will take over the Chairman post from Ratan Tata, who had recently replaced Cyrus Mistry, on Feb 21.
Chandrasekharan will be the first non-Parsi to become Chairman of Tata Sons. Hailing from Tamil Nadu, he earned his Master’s in Computer Applications from Trichy Regional Engineering College and joined TCS in 1987.
When he was the TCS CEO, its net sales increased more than three times to Rs.1.09 lakh crore in FY 2016 from Rs 30,029 crore in FY 2010.
