Maramon Convention: Women not allowed entry at night

Pathanamthitta: Marthoma Church authorities contended that women will not be allowed to attend the Maramon convention held at night. Since the time the convention was first organised, women were not allowed entry; Rev.Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan asked people not to try to alter the traditions.

But women will be allowed to attend the night conventions at Ranni, Aarattupuzha, Adoor, Kottarakkara, Kottayam and Chungathara. The Metropolitan also said that the Marthoma Church has always given due recognition to women.
