Pathanamthitta: The Hindu Aikya Vedi demanded Metropolitan Joseph Marthoma to retract his statement that the Marthoma Church has paid tax for the Pampa riverbanks, the venue of Maramon Convention.
It is a conspiracy of the Church to first raise a claim and then establish it through backchannels, said Hindu Aikya Vedi state general secretary B.S Biju.
He added that the Church is trying the same tactic at Maramon by planting religious symbols all over the state’s hilltops and revenue lands and later demand claim on them.
