Palakkad: The Human Rights activist Irom Sharmila is here at Santhigiri village to refresh herself from the failure she faced from the recent election which was held in Manipur. Today Irom will participate in her first public programme in Kozhikode.
She will also participate and inaugurate a progamme organised by DYFI at the Palakkad Fort Maidan on March 23. The 'Iron Lady' of Manipur entered into politics after her sixteen year long fast demanding the repeal of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA). After a disastrous debut in the Manipur polls, Irom Sharmila came to Kerala to spend time at Santhigiri Ashramam in Attappadi.
