Thiruvananthapuram: NCP chief Sharad Pawar maintained that the resigned Transport Minister A.K Sasindran must be brought back to the state cabinet if he is found innocent.
Pawar also called for a speedy investigation in the matter and said that the party will decide on Monday whether a recommendation must be made to the ministerial post. Currently, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is handling the transport department since Sasindran’s resignation.
Sasindran had resigned on Sunday after an audio clip of him talking obscenely to a woman was released. The state government had also called for a judicial investigation into the matter. Meanwhile, the NCP state leadership recommended the only other NCP legislator, Kuttanad MLA Thomas Chandy, to the post of Transport Minister.
