
Kochi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) submitted its report against eight people nabbed from Kanakamala last October for suspected Islamic State links. The NIA charged them under with the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
The accused had conspired to assassinate two High Court judges and a policeman, and to run their vehicle into a Jamaat-e-Islami meeting held at Kochi.
According to the NIA, one of the accused, Subhani Haj Moideen reached Iraq in 2015 and underwent arms training before joining for the IS.
