New Delhi: The Indian football team will soon be promoted in the FIFA rankings following its recent victory against Myanmar in the AFC qualifying rounds and against Cambodia in a friendly match. With the points gained with these victories, India will likely occupy a FIFA rank between 100 and 110.
Currently, India occupies the 132nd rank with 233 points. India’s best rank so far was 94 which it occupied in 1996 but was pushed to the 173rd spot in 2015.
The Indian team won 11 out of it latest 13 matches and six of these were won consecutively.
