
Kochi: The Kerala government on last day has taken an immediate decision to control overcharging of chicken in the name of GST in the state. Addressing the media, during press conference , Finance Minister Dr. Thomas Issac asked chicken traders to sell chicken for 87 rupees per kilogram from Monday on wards.
He also stated that case will be filed against those traders who unnecessarily hike the price of essential commodities in the name of GST. The minister said that Supplyco has reduced the rates of 52 commodities.
It was reported that there was a steep hike in chicken price in the state after the implementation of GST.
